A RECYCLING firm charged with exposing employees to a dangerous chemical will be committed to Bradford Crown Court next month.

Electrical Waste Recycling Group, of School Lane, Kirkheaton, is being prosecuted by the Health and Safety Executive.

The firm recycles electrical equipment, including light tubes containing mercury.

Company director Craig Thompson, of Wood Lea Avenue, is also facing a charge of failing to control the exposure of staff to mercury.

Thompson, 38, will appear at Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court for committal to Crown Court on July 20.
