Conlon on Crime: Help trap the shoplifting suspects

HERE’S a breath of fresh air in the world of crime.

We are looking for a man who seemed very interested in the entire stock of air fresheners from a Milnsbridge store.

He was one of a number of alleged shoplifters who have been captured on the West Yorkshire Police Caught on Camera site.

We are investigating a strange theft from the Colne Valley Service Station, on Manchester Road, Milnsbridge, that occurred at 7.20pm on Tuesday, June 2.

The single male suspect entered the store and walked directly to the display of air fresheners. He was seen to select the most expensive ones valued at £11.99 each and placed four of them into a bag which he had brought into the store.

The suspect then moved slightly down the aisle and selected two Glade air fresheners which he again concealed in the bag.

At this point a member of staff was standing watching the man but that did not deter him.
