Honley home targeted by gang of four

A GANG of four men smashed windows at a Honley property.

The unknown men targeted a house on Roundway in the early hours of Wednesday morning and caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to a house as well as two vehicles at the scene.

They quickly fled shortly after 4.30am and are later believed to have collided with a lamppost before running away from their get-away car.

Residents said they were left frightened that something like that could happen during the early hours while people were sleeping.

Yesterday the property’s downstairs windows were boarded up after the incident.

A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said: "We are investigating reports of criminal damage to an address on Roundway shortly after 4.30am on Wednesday, June 24.

"On arrival two vehicles and a parts of the property have been damaged.

"Four male suspects made off in a black Audi later believed to have been involved in a collision with a lamppost on Woodhead Road at its junction with Greenfield Road.
