Kali Mountford raises money for veterans with Marsden walk

AN MP has helped raise thousands of pounds for veterans.

Colne Valley MP Kali Mountford organised a sponsored walk to Marsden British Legion Club.

Friday’s event has raised more than £2,000 for veterans’ charity Help for Heroes.

Ms Mountford said: “We must never forget the sacrifices people made for their country. This is an appropriate way of showing support for veterans in our area.”

The union Unite supported the event.
