Kirklees Council gets £508,000 for unemployment project

Cash for skills

KIRKLEES Council has secured £508,000 of funding to help unemployed people improve their skills and training. The money, from the Skills for Jobs programme, is for a range of activities between July 2009 and December 2010. The project is called “Chances for All” and will target unemployed adults aged 19 years and over, who live in disadvantaged areas and who have low level skills.
