Visitors enjoy outdoor fun and games at Lepton Gala

SUMMER weather finally coincided with Lepton Junior School’s gala.

Visitors enjoyed an outdoor event for the first time in three years with music by the Yorkshire Traction Band and a display by Skelmanthorpe Fire Station.

Pictures could be taken with pirate Jack Sparrow and throw the sponge at the teacher, the coconut shy and the bouncy castle all proved popular games.

Money raised will help buy equipment for extra-curricular activities and soft furnishings for the younger children’s areas.
