Family’s appeal for lost dog help

A FAMILY are appealing for help finding their beloved pet after she went missing from home.
The Beasley family were left devastated when their two-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, named Coco, disappeared from their Dalton home nearly two months ago.
The former rescue dog was playing in the front garden with another pet, Dizzy, on May 7, but when a family member checked on them at around 2.45pm she had gone.
The dog is believed to have been stolen and police are investigating.
But despite huge search efforts by the family, they are still no closer to being reunited with their much-loved pet.
Mum Lynn said: “She’s not like a dog to us, she’s a family member and we’re all absolutely devastated.
“It’s been particularly difficult for my one-and-a-half year old, who keeps crying out for her and can’t understand where she is.
“Our other dog, Dizzy, is also missing her terribly. She’s raised him since he was eight weeks old and now when he sees another dog on the TV he goes mad, thinking it’s her.”
Coco is two to three years old with a dark chocolate and white coat.
She is quite small for her breed, but stocky in build.
The dog has a distinctive mark on her forehead and brown spots under her stomach.
