A SCHOOL for deaf children has been saved from closure.
The Elizabeth Foundation in Bradford was due to shut on July 10 because of a funding crisis.
But parents of past and present pupils have raised £26,000 to keep the centre open until next spring.
Senior teacher Margaret Southern said: “This is an amazing opportunity. The parents have played a major role in keeping our family centre open and will continue to do so with a renewed energy. I know that they will do all they can over the coming months to secure The Elizabeth Foundation’s long-term future.”
