MORE people have confirmed seeing a UFO last weekend.

Yesterday Scholes man Alan Holmes said he had seen a bright orange light in the sky from his home at 11pm on Sunday.

Mr Holmes said the light had moved at a steady pace but thought it was too slow to be a Chinese firefly lantern, the culprit behind false UFO sightings last year.

Now three more sightings of strange glowing lights in the Huddersfield region have been confirmed.

One man, who does not want to be named, said he saw an orange glow in the sky at 10.30pm on Sunday, as he drove past Honley towards Brockholes.

He said: “I have no idea what it was, it was moving ever so slowly.

“I’m not sure it was a lantern as it didn’t seem to be flickering.

“I know one thing, it’s not little green men, it wasn’t big enough.”

Another man, who said his name was James, said he and eight friends saw weird lights coming towards Dalton over the Galpharm Stadium at about 11.30pm on Sunday.

He said: “It stopped over the stadium and it dropped down a bit.

“At first I thought it was a police helicopter but then three little things came out of it and it disappeared.

“I was kind of shocked when I saw it.”

A mysterious light was also seen by Andrew Williams, of

Slaithwaite.

He said: “I saw a strange orange light over Pole Moor radio masts, Scammonden at a similar time (11pm) on Sunday night.

“It looked like an aeroplane light but was below the clouds and moving very slowly. It was there for a good 20 seconds but disappeared abruptly.”
