Head boy at Castle Hall school Usdama Patel always gives 100%

USAMA Patel always puts in 100 %

And teachers at his school in Mirfield think the 15-year-old really Shines.

That’s why the schoolboy from Saddletown in Dewsbury was recently chosen to be head boy at Castle Hall School.

Usama is currently in Year 11 at the specialist language college.

As well as being an active member of the school community, and getting good grades, he also does a range of extra–curricular activities.

The teenager, who has two brothers, is half way through learning the whole Koran off by heart.

His father, Elyas Patel said: “It’s a long process and requires some commitment and a good deal of devotion – which he has.

“It stands him in good stead – but like anything it’s getting the right balance.”

Richard can speak English, Gujarati and can read Arabic.

He also has outstanding predictions for his GCSE grades.

Mr Patel, a barrister, said: “His most endearing quality is that he tries hard at whatever he does.

“There’s no excuse or short-cuts for effort.

“Whatever ability, with the right amount of effort you can achieve a lot.
