Toddler Ruddi Waterworth-Jones fights rare cancer

“Everyone has been so helpful, even in a recession businesses have been really kind.
“I was most touched by Leigh Binney who lost his daughter to cancer last year and he just knocked on my door and gave my six signed football shirts to raffle. It means a lot to me.
“I’m looking forward to it and I hope people come along rain or shine, even if it rains it will be going ahead, we’ll just move everything indoors.
“And Ruddi will be making an appearance too.”
Despite the set-back, Ali and former partner Craig Waterworth are determined to help others.
“I’m heartbroken, I really am,” she added.
“But the support we have received has been overwhelming, not least from my daughter Ellys. She absolutely adores him she’s always grabbing him for cuddles. She’s been brilliant.
“I really want to thank the businesses who have helped us with this day.”
Big sister Ellys will be running the tuck shop this weekend and her Facebook site Support Ruddi Bob has almost 1,500 members.
They have been supported by a host of local businesses including Cartwright Cars, Tony Sykes, the Balloon and Party Shop, Old Golf House, restaurants Temujin and Monsoon and Graphic Electronics, among many others.
