Newsome mother died of alcohol abuse

A MOTHER died of chronic alcohol abuse at her Newsome home.
Christine Battye, 49, was found by her care worker lying on the sofa at her home on Edale Avenue on February 17, 2009.
Police and paramedics were called and pronounced her dead at the scene.
The cause of her death was cardiac dysrhythmia due to chronic alcohol abuse.
A verdict of natural causes was recorded at an inquest into her death at Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
