Huddersfield Company Code Blue ransacked in £20,000 burglary

BRAZEN burglars spent 20 minutes ransacking a Huddersfield business despite setting off the security alarm.
They ignored the siren and continued to load expensive laptops into a hold-all before making off with as much as £20,000 worth of equipment from publishing company Code Blue.
Now bosses are offering a “substantial cash reward” for information that will help police find the offenders.
Accounts manager Chris O’Brien said: “I was disgusted and horrified to see what they had done.
“You never want to experience being burgled.
“We work very hard for what we have got and for someone to try to take that away is hard to take.
“They have absolutely crucified us.”
The company, which has a design and media side and a publishing side which publishes a number of trade magazines, was targeted at the weekend.
Thieves broke into the business, on Old Leeds Road in Huddersfield, through a skylight into the foyer at about 10.50pm on Sunday.
They then smashed their way through fire doors to get into the firm’s offices.
