A YOUNG actress has been found dead months after her fiance passed away.
The tragic story of Nikki Sam-Addae, 23, from Dalton, was unveiled last night.
She is believed to have hanged herself.
Her fiancé Luke Evans died of a brain tumour in January– having spent 12 months with Nikki by his hospital bedside.
Nikki graduated in acting from the University of Central Lancashire just last month. She was the only student to achieve a first-class degree.
Her brother Justin paid tribute to her.
He said: "Nikki was such a fun-loving person who went through life enjoying herself and giving 100% to everything she did. She was a fantastic, bubbly person who was always keen to help other people."
Nikki was found dead in Dalton on Monday. She leaves behind parents Sam and Kath, brothers Antony and Justin and sisters Christine and Vanessa. Nikki was also aunt to five children.
Justin, 34, said the family was in shock at the news of her death.
He said: "We’re absolutely devastated, my parents are in total shock about this.
"Hundreds of people have been in touch to express their condolences and we’re expecting more than 200 people at her funeral."
Nikki met Welshman Luke Evans, who was also an aspiring actor, while at university. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour in January 2008 and died on January 7, 2009.
Justin said: "Luke spent the last 12 months of his life in intensive care in Preston Royal Infirmary. Nikki took a year out of university and spent every day with him.
"After Luke passed away she went back to university and completed her degree. She was the only person on her course to get a first.
"But she just couldn’t cope living without Luke."
Justin said his younger sister had a keen interest in acting.
