He said: "Nikki was very intelligent, she always got A-stars. She wanted to be an actress and used to perform in plays at Halifax Playhouse."
Nikki, from Kingston Avenue, went to Dalton Junior and Infants School and King James’ School in Almondbury.
She started at Greenhead College in 2002.
Principal Martin Rostron paid tribute to Nikki yesterday. He said: "Her ambition was to be a professional actor and she was exceptionally committed to drama.
"It’s very saddening to learn of her death and I’m very sorry for her family. It’s awful hearing of the passing away of a young person with so much potential."
Mr Rostron said Nikki was popular at Greenhead, where she studied drama, biology and psychology.
He said: "She was well-liked by staff and students. All the staff found her to be a very mature and likeable young lady.
"Nikki was very creative and was a pleasure to teach. She was sensitive to other people and worked well in teams."
Nikki appeared in a college production of Les Miserables and set up a cheerleading team during her time at the college. She left Greenhead in 2004 and began her acting course at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston the following year. She appeared in several productions, including King Lear.
Some of Nikki’s friends left tributes on her Facebook page yesterday.
Nicola Smith said: "You were a beautiful, warm, gorgeous girl always with an outward energy to everyone you engaged with. I want you to know I’m sending you all my love, sweetheart."
Her funeral service will take place at Dalton Baptist Church on Thursday (August 27) at midday.
An inquest will be held into her death at Bradford Coroners’ Court on September 19.
