Team Robbo ready to back Huddersfield Giants at Wembley - pictures

AS Huddersfield Giants players prepare themselves for the Challenge Cup final on Saturday one player knows he’s got an extra boost behind him.

Scrum half Luke Robinson will be able to look up to Wembley’s west stand and see his own all-female ‘Team Robbo’ fan club decked out in matching T-shirts, singing away.

The rowdy pack of girls have a repertoire of 10 Robbo chants including, ‘I will follow Robbo’ and ‘R.O.B.B.O.’ and an array of props including pom-poms and flags.

The 15-strong club was launched by his sister Simone three years ago and made their debut at Millennium Magic in Cardiff.

Team Robbo member and Luke’s fiancée Laura Towler, said they had all met at university in Liverpool.

She said: “We’re FFAFS, not WAGS.

“Fiancée, friends and family.

“Behind every great man is a great woman and Luke’s got a great team.

“We follow Luke everywhere he goes.
