Young consider Yorkshire jobs in NHS

THOUSANDS of Yorkshire youngsters have looked at careers in the NHS.

Over 7,000 school and college students between the ages of 14 – 19 attended the Skills Yorkshire and Humber careers fair at the Sheffield Arena.

They met clinical staff and the crew of a fully equipped ambulance who gave them an idea of what life is like in the NHS.

Tim Gilpin, Director of Workforce and Education at NHS Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many young people interested in pursuing a career in the NHS.

“The NHS is not just about doctors and nurses; we have so much to offer, with a huge variety of occupations and career choices.”
