Kirklees Youth Fight for Jobs demonstrate in Huddersfield

YOUNG people protested for employment last night.

Thirty people took part in the demonstration outside the University of Huddersfield Students’ Union by Kirklees Youth Fight for Jobs.

The protesters then marched to Huddersfield Bus Station before rallying outside Huddersfield Town Hall.

Organiser Gary Bunton said: “It went very well. We’re protesting against Kirklees Council’s planned budget cuts. It’s really hard for young people in Huddersfield to find jobs when the main employer in the town is cutting staff.”
