Stricly Come Dancing’s Huddersfield girl Zoe Lucker needs your support

LET’S get behind Zoe, is the message to Huddersfield voters as this year’s Strictly Come Dancing battle continues.
Fans were surprised last weekend when actress Zoe Lucker, who was raised in Lindley, found herself in the bottom two.
Zoe and her professional partner, James Jordan, were in the dance-off with boxer Joe Calzaghe and his partner Kristina Rihanoff.
But after being saved by the judges, fans are being urged to back her through this weekend’s American Smooth and ensure she continues in the competition.
Her dad Paul Lucker, of Honley, said: "Everyone I talk to is saying how well Zoe is doing and we were all surprised when she was in the bottom two.
"People have been saying, ‘we’ll vote for her when she needs it’ so now is the time."
Among those also supporting the former Huddersfield New College student will be 26-year-old Alex Dickinson, the brains behind a hugely successful website based on the hit BBC1 show.
The site – www.strictlycomedancing.tv – has already gathered a loyal following from Strictly fans and celebrities.
"The website has been really busy especially with all the controversy," said Alex.
"Everyone was really shocked when Zoe was in the bottom two. I was surprised as well but it just goes to show that even if you’re really good, you have to connect with the public as well."
