Sheepridge mum tells of horror as her children find their rabbits slaughtered

A MOTHER has spoken of her horror after her children found their beloved rabbits had been killed.

Feryal Gorgees and her young children found body parts strewn around the garden of their Sheepridge home after the sickening attack.

She said: “My children are really sad. They ask me if the rabbits are in Heaven and if they will ever see them again.”

Feryal bought five rabbits – JJ, Ruby, Sally, Rob and Nina – at a Bradford pet shop last year. She gave one each to her five children – Airn, 13, Serdos, 11, Abdul, 10, eight-year-old Elaf and Anas, 3.

Feryal, 33, said: “I bought the rabbits because my children love pets. They always fed them and looked after them.”

But the family were confronted by a terrible scene when they returned to their Bradley Boulevard home last Friday afternoon.

Feryal said: “I went upstairs and the children went out to play with the rabbits. Elaf started screaming because she was the first one to go into the garden and see that horrible scene.

“I was scared, I thought something had happened to one of the children, so I ran downstairs. Elaf told me her rabbit had been killed and I thought she meant it had died of cold.

“But when I went out I saw that horrible scene. There was the head and tail of Rob. Sally had her tail cut off and she had been skinned. We couldn’t find her head.
