Family still fighting for justice on Danny Atkinson's '21st birthday'
A MUM is still fighting for justice on what would have been her son Danny’s 21st birthday.
Today Danny Atkinson’s mum Linda Adams and his two sisters Leander, 16, and Paige, 8, will visit his grave to leave special presents and messages for him.
The family members want to tell Danny how much they miss his “bright, happy smile” and that they are still fighting to find out what killed him.
Paige has got her big brother a white fluffy teddy bear for him to cuddle in heaven.
And Linda said: “We only wish Danny was here to celebrate with us.”
Danny died alongside his friend Jade Rice in a car crash three years ago. They were both just 17.
Next week is crunch time for Danny and Jade’s families when they will hear whether the Attorney General has decided to prosecute the driver of the car that crashed at Bradley Road, Bradley, on January 29, 2006.
The families have been campaigning for justice for three years and want answers about what happened.
A dangerous driving charge against Mohammed Tanwir was never heard in court due to insufficient evidence presented by the Crown Prosecution Service.
