Calderdale police warning over phone scams

POLICE in Calderdale are warning residents after the elderly were targeted in a phone scam.

Callers claiming to be from banks or organisations supplying grants are trying to extract bank account details and card numbers.

Officers are telling people not to give out financial information over the telephone.
