Last Of The Summer Wine clothes to be sold on ebay

THEY are a trademark TV outfit and a vital part of Last Of The Summer Wine history.

And now Foggy’s clothes are up for sale.

The outfit worn by Foggy for many years is being put up for auction on eBay to raise charity cash.

Foggy was played by Brian Wilde, who died last year aged 80.

Foggy was a fixture in more than 100 episodes, co-starring with Bill Owen and Peter Sallis.

Brian’s widow, Eva, sadly suffered a stroke earlier this year and died in the summer.

But it can now be revealed that Brian was a great supporter of the charity Hft which helps people with learning disabilities and their families.

Brian lived in Hertford and his close friend, 79-year-old Andrew Hambling, has a 45-year-old son, Rory, who has special needs.

Schoolteacher Mr Hambling also taught Brian’s son, Andrew, who has worked as an editor on Last Of The Summer Wine.

Mr Hambling said: “Brian was a great fan of cricket and arranged charity cricket matches to raise money for Hft. He attracted some wonderful stars to support him ranging from Ronnie Corbett to Kathy Staff who played Norah Battye.
