Huddersfield train delays caused by person hit by train

HUNDREDS of commuters were held up at Huddersfield Railway Station after a person was hit by a train.

The incident, at Cottingley, near Leeds, shortly after 6pm, meant severe delays for passengers travelling between Huddersfield and Leeds. Journeys to and from Manchester were also affected. Hundreds of people queued outside the station for replacement bus services.
