Man left critically ill after trouble flares inside Black Bull pub in Dewsbury

A MAN is critically ill after a fight at a pub in Kirklees.

Five people were arrested after trouble flared at the Black Bull on Market Place in Dewsbury in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police were first alerted when they were called to Long Causeway in Dewsbury town centre at 4.30am on Saturday and found an injured 29-year-old man being carried through the town centre.

Inquiries quickly revealed that an incident had happened in the Black Bull immediately before the man was found.

He is now in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Police have put out an urgent plea for witnesses.
