A YOUNG mum was left with 50 stitches in her face after a vicious attack by a woman wearing stiletto heels.
Charlotte Wilkinson, 22, had to have the stitches in her cheek after the attack in Huddersfield town centre.
Now the trainee dental nurse who scarred Charlotte’s face by kicking her in the head has been jailed for two years.
The attacker, 21-year-old Laura Madden, of Grangebank Close, Huddersfield, claimed that she was provoked by previous incidents that night when she alleged that Miss Wilkinson had barged into her and assaulted her outside a nightclub.
In a victim impact statement Miss Wilkinson described how the facial scarring had had a devastating effect on her life and how she had suffered pain and headaches in the wake of the early hours incident.
Prosecutor Paul Nicholson described how Madden was seen to pull her victim to the ground by her hair and repeatedly kick her in the head.
Miss Wilkinson was taken to hospital where she had to have 25 external stitches and 24 internal stitches put in the wound to her face.
Madden pleaded guilty to a charge of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and her barrister Ruth Cranage said she had expressed genuine remorse and regret for the attack.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday that Madden had drunk six alco-pops that night, but she was not drunk at the time of the violence in the early hours.
