Girl trapped on Paddock Junior School climbing frame

AN EIGHT-year-old girl was freed by firefighters after getting stuck on a school’s climbing frame.

The youngster, a pupil at Paddock Junior and Infant School, got her leg trapped on a piece of play equipment at 2.45pm yesterday afternoon.

Fire crews from Huddersfield were called out to help release her leg by cutting the steel frame.

Although she was unhurt, she was left shaken by the ordeal.

Firefighters said her teachers told them it was the second time a child’s leg was trapped on the new piece of outdoor play equipment.
