A BANNED dog similar to one which mauled a boy to death in Liverpool has been found at a house in Huddersfield.

Police seized the American pit bull terrier from a house on the Riddings estate in Sheepridge.

Officers from Huddersfield North Neighbourhood Policing Team went to the house after a tip-off that three dangerous dogs were being kept there.

The banned dog was taken to kennels. The other two are believed to be legal animals. A 33-year-old man has been reported for summons.

John-Paul Massey, four, was killed by a pitbull-type dog in Liverpool on November 30.

A BRADFORD man has been banned from keeping dogs for five years after two dangerous animals were seized from his home.

The man, from he Scholemoor area, was arrested in June and two pit bull terrier dogs were seized by the RSPCA.
