Holme Valley hit by Hanoi burglary spate
Jan 1 2010 by Nick Lavigueur, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
CAR thieves raided the Holme Valley in the run up to Christmas with a spate of Hanoi style burglaries.
The tactic sees the criminals break into people’s homes in order to steal their car keys.
Five households in the Holme Valley were hit between December 17 and 23 and a total of eight vehicles were stolen from Honley, Wooldale, Cinderhills, and Burnlee.
Three vehicles were recovered, two in Manchester, but five are still missing.
