A ROAD worker was seriously injured when he was hit by a car on the M62. The Highways Agency employee was struck by a yellow Renault Clio at Junction 26 at Chain Bar. The 23-year-old, from Doncaster, who had been working in the central reservation, was hit as he crossed the westbound carriageway at 9.55pm on Monday. He was rushed to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries. The man was in a critical condition yesterday. Read
