A RUGBY stand has been dedicated to a community hospice.
Batley Bulldogs are now giving people the opportunity to dedicate seats in the Kirkwood Hospice stand to their loved ones.
Lesley O’Callaghan, commercial manager for the team, said: “Kirkwood Hospice does a wonderful job supporting and funds are constantly needed .
“If we can sell all the seat dedications – there are a thousand in all – then we can raise in excess of £50,000 to be shared between the club and the hospice.”
Each seat dedication costs £50 for the first year and £1 a week each subsequent year.
Families can choose the words they want to be engraved on the special plaques at the Mount Pleasant stadium.
