TWO men were taken to hospital after being found collapsed and unconscious in a Huddersfield wood.
Both were detained at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary after the incident in TP Woods, off Gledholt Bank.
And police confirmed both had been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences.
Officers seized what were believed to be Class A drugs and recovered needles when they were called to the scene shortly after 4pm on Tuesday.
A passer-by had spotted the men in the woods, which are a popular local beauty spot. There is an angling lake in the woods which is also very busy in good weather.
Ambulance crews treated both men at the scene before they were taken to the Royal Infirmary.
Police officers and forensic experts sealed off the woods for more than two hours as part of their investigation.
The whole area was searched and police confirmed that hypodermic syringes and needles and other material thought to be linked with drugs was recovered.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the men had been arrested while they were detained as patients in the hospital.
He said inquiries were continuing into the incident.
Both men are expected to be interviewed shortly by officers.
