Were bright lights spotted over Castle Hill UFOs?

A HUDDERSFIELD man believes strange lights he saw in the night sky above Huddersfield could be UFOs.

Vivian Rayner, of Derwent Road, Honley, spotted the mysterious lights passing over Castle Hill at around 9.30pm on Sunday.

He saw about 12 bright yellow lights moving south-west towards Honley from the hill over a 10-minute period.

He said: “My wife and I were watching the TV and just by chance the curtains were open and my wife said: ‘What are those lights?’

“There was a group of five or six bright yellow lights coming from Castle Hill towards Honley.

“I went out of the house. It was quite dark and I saw the lights.

“I thought they might be helicopters but there was no noise.

“They weren’t going at the same speed. Some were moving sideways in relation to another.

“I couldn’t make anything out apart from the lights.

“Then one single one came across from the same way.

“I went upstairs to get my binoculars, but by that time they had gone.”

Huddersfield is no stranger to UFO – unidentified flying object – reportings.
