A WOMAN who died after being hit by a train in Huddersfield has been named.

Joanne Victoria Bingley died instantly when she was hit on the tracks near Deighton railway station.

An inquest into the death of the 39-year-old Fartown woman was due to open today.

Ms Bingley was killed after getting on to the line on the approach to Deighton from Mirfield.

She was hit by the First Transpennine service from Hull to Manchester Piccadilly as it arrived at Deighton station.

The incident, which happened at 8.06am on Friday, is not being treated as suspicious.
