Manhunt continues for masked Almondbury HSBC bank robbers

A BANK was due to reopen today more than 24 hours after being raided by armed robbers.
Masked men brandishing a gun and a crowbar walked into the HSBC branch at Northgate in Almondbury at about 3.30pm on Tuesday.
They ordered staff to fill bags with cash before fleeing.
Their getaway car was later found burned out less than half a mile away in Almondbury cemetery.
The branch remained closed yesterday as investigations continued.
Initial reports suggested three men had been involved in the raid, but police say they are looking for two men who were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.
Detectives have confirmed a quantity of cash was stolen, but would not say how much.
A police spokesman said: “Two men came from behind the bank before entering the branch.
“They left the scene in a car which was later discovered burned out.
“We would appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact us.”
