CARNIVAL is coming to St George’s Square.
Organisers are planning to bring the colourful spectacular to the newly-revamped Huddersfield square in July.
The event has been a popular feature in Greenhead Park for many years.
But this year, the park is out of action because of a £5m re-design which has seen huge projects across many areas of the Victorian park.
Now those behind the event are keen to tempt audiences into the square, which underwent a £4m revamp last year.
Organisers are also inviting people to take part in their annual sponsored walk to promote the event.
Huddersfield African Caribbean Cultural Trust (HACCT), formerly known as Huddersfield Carnival Committee wants people to vote with their feet and support this year’s Huddersfield Carnival.
