FRI PM: Arrests for Huddersfield Town v Millwall hooligan violence - watch the video
Man arrested by police on suspicion of violent disorder
RIVAL football fans suspected of battling before Huddersfield Town's game against Millwall last month have been arrested.
Twelve men and a 14-year-old boy were arrested in swoops in Millwall on Wednesday and Huddersfield today.
It followed ugly scenes outside the Waterloo Tavern pub on Wakefield Road in Waterloo on April 16.
Millwall fans who arrived on a coach and in mini-buses for that night's game at the Galpharm were pelted with missiles.
Running battles then took place on the street, with up to 60 fans using bottles, bricks and pool cues as weapons.
All those arrested have been ordered not to attend Saturday's League One play-off game between the two sides at the Galpharm or Tuesday's return leg in Millwall.
Police say they have CCTV footage showing more than 20 other suspects. They expect to make further arrests in the coming weeks.
