AUSTRALIAN singing sensation Gabriella Cilmi will headline this year’s Festival in the Park.
The international solo artist, who spent six weeks in the Top 10 with single Sweet About Me, will perform on the main stage at Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury.
Australian-Italian Gabriella is currently supporting Leona Lewis on her UK tour.
The singer-songwriter will be backed by chart-toppers Roll Deep at this year’s festival, a grime act who recently spent three weeks at number one with hit Good Times.
Festival in the Park brings together the popular Concerts in the Park and multicultural festival A World Together into one big weekend of free live music, entertainment and activities on July 17 and 18.
Cilmi will perform on the main stage on the Sunday, while Magic of Motown – a touring tribute show featuring the hit songs of artists such as Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the Jackson 5 – will take to the stage on the Saturday.
Thousands of people attended the event last year which featured household name boyband McFly.
In addition to the main stage, there will be a host of other entertainment across the park.
A second live music stage will host local performers from acoustic soul and jazz duo Ruby Wood and Noah Burton to Latin salsa band Son Tropical.
