Mark Riley Hairdressers and Training Academy raises hundreds for Huddersfield charity

TRAINEE hairdressers have raised hundreds for charity.

Students from the Mark Riley Hairdressers and Training Academy in Brighouse took part in the annual charity evening.

The night, entitled Silver Screen Infinity, gave the young clippers the chance to show off their skills by presenting models from various film genres.

Academy manager Becky Russell said: “We are all really proud of the students, most of them have never done anything like this before, it has been a joy to watch.”

The charity evening raised £292 for Hoot. The charity, based at Bates Mill at Queen Street South, uses music to help people with mental health problems.
