Divided loyalties over England Germany World Cup game in the Holt household

THERE were seriously divided loyalties in one South African home yesterday.

Avid Huddersfield Town and England fan Richard Holt was backing Fabio Capello’s men all the way.

But there was much at stake in his Cape Town household, as his wife Christina is German!

Richard, 48, formerly of Shelley, emigrated to South Africa seven years ago, after falling in love with the country on previous business trips.

He met Christina shortly after getting there and the couple married.

He is the owner of Travel Concepts www.travelconcepts.co.za a company that arranges holidays into South and Southern Africa.

The couple run that and another business together, arranging weddings and specialist holidays including safaris or golf trips.

He said: “When I married a German girl several years ago I just knew one day it would come to this!
