WHO is the lucky winner celebrating a £1m win?

One Kirklees woman is celebrating after winning £1m in this month’s Premium Bond jackpot.

The unknown woman was told she had scooped the top prize earlier this month when Agent Million knocked on her door.

She beat 24,000 to 1 odds to win a prize, which range in value from £25 to £1m, and had a surprise visit from the agent who delivers the life-changing news.

The winning bond was bought in September 2007 and its owner has a total of £7,000 in bonds.

A spokeswoman for National Savings and & Investment (NS&I) said: “For smaller prizes people have to check but for the million pound prize Agent Million delivers the news face to face.”

The jackpot winner becomes ERNIE’s – the machine which picks the winner – 246th Premium Bond millionaire.
