Kirklees Save Our Services plans Huddersfield demonstration against public spending cuts

CAMPAIGNERS are planning a demonstration against public sector cuts.

Kirklees Save Our Services opposes reductions in the budget of Kirklees Council.

The group will hold a demonstration in the town centre on September 11.

Spokesman Ian Brooke said: “It is a disgrace that people’s jobs and public services are been sacrificed to fill the financial black hole caused by the bailout of the banks.”

Kirklees Save Our Services will discuss the demonstration at its meeting at The Albert on Victoria Lane on August 10 at 7pm.
