Burglars abandon antique chair after Hipperholme break-in

THIEVES stole an antique armchair – but abandoned it when it wouldn’t fit in their getaway car.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary at a business on Halifax Road in Hipperholme on Tuesday night.

It is believed two or three suspects smashed a window to the premises at about 11.45pm.

But they left the chair when it wouldn’t fit in their silver-coloured Ford Fiesta.
