YOUNG runners put their best foot forward to raise cash for charity yesterday.
About 200 runners, joggers, walkers and pram pushers, aged from 12 months to 24 years, completed one mile around Leeds Road Playing Fields running circuit.
They took part in the second annual Youth Against Cancer to raise money for the Laura Crane Trust (LCT).
The national charity, which is based in Edgerton, provides support for cancer patients aged 13 to 24.
Helping raise cash were Huddersfield Giants Under 20s Elliot Hodgson, Jacob Fairbank and Greg McNally, Moldgreen ARLFC and Honley High School rugby league team.
As a reward for participating, runners received tickets to yesterday’s Giants vs Salford match, Huddersfield’s last home game of the season.
