Signs of the times outside Honley High School - but 11 of them?

After a radical removal of signs and clutter on Kensington High Street in West London, accidents fell by up to 47%.
A spokesman for Kirklees Council said: "While recognising that some residents are concerned about street clutter, we are required to have in place recognised and approved signs and road markings so that waiting restrictions can be enforced legally.
"It is also important to stress that the safety of pupils, parents, residents, pedestrians and road users should be a major consideration around schools.
"Car parking near schools is an issue all over the country. We understand that many children need to be dropped off by car, but when that’s the case we encourage people to park further away and with consideration.
"At the same time, the council is checking throughout the district for any redundant signs that are unnecessary and can be removed."
