Car drivers fall victim in Calderdale

POLICE are appealing for information following several thefts from vehicles in Greetland and Barkisland.
Vehicles in the Stainland Road area of Barkisland, as well as Greetland, were broken into by thieves who stole property including satellite navigation equipment, CD players and clothing.
Police are urging motorists to ensure their vehicles are secure and asking them not to leave any items on display in their cars.
Det Insp Dean McIntyre, of Calderdale’s Divisional Intelligence Unit, said: “The area has suffered a slight increase in vehicle crime recently and we are asking members of the public to help us by reporting immediately to police anyone acting suspiciously in the area.”
