Brighouse motorists fined £30 for taking a short cut

NINE motorists were fined for using an access road as a short cut.
Brighouse officers were patrolling Alegar Street, which links Clifton Road and Wakefield Road. Alegar Street is for access only and restrictions mean it should not be used as a short cut. Officers fined each of the drivers £30.
The Lower Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team say they acted after residents reported concerns about the volume of traffic using the street. Further checks will be carried out in the next few weeks.
