Colne Valley Circle women don pink bras and tutus for adrenaline fuelled charity challenge

WOMEN donned pink bras and tutus and plunged down Europe’s tallest rollercoaster to raise cash for charity.
Among them was Colne Valley Ladies’ Circle member Kate Atkins, her daughter Paige Atkins, her sister Lucy Lamb and cousin Joanne Atkins.
The daredevil group took on the adrenaline-fuelled 235ft drop at Blackpool’s Pepsi Max Big One to raise awareness of breast cancer charity The Genesis Appeal.
Kate said: “The Genesis Appeal is really important to me. I’ve lost too many friends to this terrible disease.
“We were all a bit cold in our bras and tutus before we took the plunge on the coaster, but the adrenalin warmed us up.
“It was so much fun we wanted to go round again. Whatever we do in Circle, we have fun doing it and this was certainly a different way to raise money and awareness of The Genesis Appeal. We are all adrenalin junkies in our family, so it was fantastic to have Luci, Joanne and Paige join me.”
