A YOUNG mum is angry after a blunder left her with just 97p in her bank account.
Raesha Griffith, 22, lost hundreds of pounds in wages and was facing a weekend with no money.
Confusion over how much she could have in her bank account meant her money went ‘missing’.
The Bradley mother said: “Banks are meant to look after your money. I really needed that money because I had just 97p and I have a child to feed.”
Ms Griffith works 20 hours a week for catering firm Compass as a chef at Asda on Bradford Road.
Her monthly pay of £433.87 goes into her Halifax ISA account.
But when she went into the Cloth Hall Street branch on Friday, she discovered that October’s pay was missing.
Ms Griffith said: “The money was paid in on October 1 but was removed on the same day.
