Entrepreneur Becky Ashwell faces TV quiz challenge on The Weakest Link

AS an entrepreneur Becky Ashwell is used to dealing with all kinds of clients.

So when she was asked to face one of television’s toughest personalities she was more than ready for the challenge.

The mum-of-two, from Roberttown, is set to share the spotlight with famous battleaxe Anne Robinson when she appears on The Weakest Link tomorrow.

Becky, who runs a proof-reading business, is a big fan of the quick-fire general knowledge quiz and watches with her daughters Georgia, nine, and five-year-old Emily.

Her daughters reckoned she was as good as the show’s contestants and encouraged her to apply.

Becky, 35, said: “We always watch the show and have a go at answering the questions and one day it was announced that they needed more contestants.

“I went online and filled out a form. It was really for a laugh and I thought nothing more of it.

“Then about a month later I got a phone call asking me to go and do an audition in Leeds.

“I went along thinking it would be a great experience and we had to do things like play a mock round and do a piece to camera about ourselves.

“I didn’t think at the time I would get anywhere as it’s not something I’ve ever done before or like me at all to put myself out there to go on national TV.
